- In case of purchasing WIZZ Flex as part of the WIZZ Plus Bundle, the purchase of this service applies to all passengers and all flights in the booking. The service fee will be calculated accordingly, based on the number of passengers and flights.
- The WIZZ Flex service does not include the possibility to change the passengers’ names.
- WIZZ Flex cannot be used for group bookings (more than 15 passengers).
- Please see WIZZ Flex fee here.
How does it work?
1. Flight change
Changes to the reservation must be completed up to 3 hours prior to the scheduled departure time of the flight. Please note that the change will be considered completed once the payment (if applicable) is received. Please note that only credit card payment is possible.
a) If you have purchased WIZZ Flex (as standalone service or as part of WIZZ Plus bundle), the following changes can be made:
a. In case of one-way flight bookings:
i. The date, time and destination of the booked flight can be changed latest 3 hours before the scheduled departure time of the flight. (The change must be completed no more than 3 hours before the scheduled departure time of the flight.)
b. In case of return flight bookings (including an outbound and an inbound flight):
i. If the booking includes a return flight, the route must be changed for both flights, (for both the outbound and the inbound flight). The outbound flight’s departure airport cannot differ from the inbound flight’s destination airport, likewise the outbound flight’s destination airport cannot differ from the inbound flight’s departure airport. (E.g. A booking for Budapest – London Luton – Budapest flights can be changed to Warsaw – Barcelona – Warsaw flights, but not to Budapest – London Luton – Warsaw flights.)
ii. If the outbound flight has already departed, only the date and time of the inbound flight can be changed.
c. Process of modifying reservations that include more than one passenger (no group reservations, 2-10 people)
1. In order to change the flight, please log into your WIZZ Account
2. Select the reservation that you wish to modify
3. Select the passengers for whom the changes will apply (in case you wish to make the same modification for all passengers, you can select all passengers in the same process)
4. Provide the details (date, time and route) of the new flight(s) for which you want to change the original flight(s).
5. Confirm the change and settle payment for the fare difference and flight change fees if applicable
b) Payable fees for flight change with WIZZ Flex;
a. No flight change fee will be charged
b. The difference between the fare of the new and the original (changed) flight in accordance with the following conditions:
i. If the fare of the new flight is higher than that of the original, the difference between the fare of the new and the original flight must be paid;
ii. If the new fare is lower than the original, no additional payment has to be made by the passenger, however, the difference between the fare of the new and the original flight will not be refunded;
iii. If the original and the new flights’ fares are the same, no additional payment has to be made by the passenger;
c)Recovery of the WIZZ Discount Club benefits
The payable amount consists of the differences between the regular and WIZZ Discount Club ticket price and the regular and WIZZ Discount Club baggage fee. This fee is applicable for the passengers who are not travelling with the WIZZ Discount Club member following the flight change, therefore they will lose the WIZZ Discount Club benefits.
d) After completing the flight change, the passenger must check in for the new flight.
e) Services purchased from third parties in addition to the booking (e.g. insurance, airport transfer) are not amended automatically. To amend these services, please contact the service provider.
f) Important! In case the passenger is entitled to compensation and/or reimbursement pursuant to Article 7 and 8 of 261/2004/EC Regulation (Regulation) as the new flight (to which the passenger has changed its original flight in line with the above) has been cancelled by Wizz Air, the amount of the compensation and/or reimbursement will be defined on the basis of this new flight and its fare. It means that if the passenger is entitled to reimbursement in accordance with Article 8 of the Regulation and the fare of the original flight was higher than the fare of the new flight, the passenger will only be entitled to the reimbursement of the fare of the new flight.
2. Reservation cancellation and refund request
If you have purchased WIZZ Flex (as standalone service or as part of WIZZ Plus bundle), you can cancel your booking according to the below:
a. In case of one-way flight bookings:
The reservation shall be cancelled no later than 3 hours before the scheduled departure of the flight.
b. In case of return flight bookings (including an outbound and an inbound flight):
i. If the booking includes a return flight, the cancellation shall be made no later than 3 hours before the scheduled departure time of the outbound flight.
ii. If the outbound flight has already departed, the inbound flight cannot be cancelled.
c. Process of cancelling reservations that include more than one passenger (no group reservations, 2-10 people)
- In order to cancel the reservation, please log into your WIZZ Account
- Select the reservation that you wish to cancel
- Select the passengers for whom the cancellation will apply (in case you wish to cancel the reservation for all passengers, you can select all passengers in the same process)
- Confirm the cancellation and settle payment related to the cancellation if applicable
d. Applicable payments in case of cancellation of the reservation
i. For those passengers who purchased WIZZ Flex, no Cancellation Fee/Seat Protection Fee applies in case of cancellation of the reservation
ii. Recovery of the WIZZ Discount Club benefits. The payable amount consists of the differences between the regular and WIZZ Discount Club ticket price and the regular and WIZZ Discount Club baggage fee. In case the WIZZ Discount Club member cancelled their reservation, these fees are applicable for the passengers remaining in the reservation, as they lose the WIZZ Discount Club benefits.
iii. The following service fees are non-refundable:
- The WIZZ Flex service fee.
- The fee for WIZZ Discount Club membership or Privilege Pass if the booking was made with either of them. In case of booking cancellation, the WIZZ Discount Club membership and the Privilege Pass remain valid based on their respective Terms and Conditions.
- Services purchased from third parties in addition to the booking you wish to cancel (e.g. insurance, airport transfer, etc.). For these services, the service providers’ refund policies shall apply.
- If the amount paid for the passenger whose reservation is cancelled is higher than the fees related to the cancellation (WIZZ Flex fee, Recovery of WIZZ Discount Club benefits), the difference will be refunded to the WIZZ Account of the booking owner (the person who originally created the booking) in WIZZ Credit.
- If the amount paid for the passenger whose reservation is cancelled is lower than the fees related to the cancellation (WIZZ Flex fee, Recovery of WIZZ Discount Club benefits), the difference between the total fare and fees related to the cancellation of the booking needs to be settled by the passenger
- If the amount paid for the passenger whose reservation is cancelled equals to the fees related to the cancellation (WIZZ Flex fee, Recovery of WIZZ Discount Club benefits), no payment shall be made and no refund is given.
e. The amount for the cancelled booking is refunded to the WIZZ-account of the booking holder within 72 hours notwithstanding the number of passengers in the given booking. If the booking is cancelled with the WIZZ Flex service, the amount paid for the cancelled booking cannot be refunded to the bank account or credit card it was originally paid from.
f. The refunded amount can be used within 90 days from the date of the refund. The departure date of the new flights booked using the refunded amount does not need to fall within this time period.
g. This part of the service (cancellation of the booking and refund request) is not available for passengers who booked their flights via a travel agency.
